9 October 2015

G’day all.  Another week has passed!!!  Can you believe it.  One week now till our dinner.  If you are planning to come please do let me know. The more the merrier and one reason to have it at my home is so that we don’t have to worry about bookings, deposits and the like so it is not too late  to let me know.  You do not have to be a quilter or laundry bag maker to come.  If you are a recipient we would love to have you join us and if you are one of those who cheer us or or read the blog and Facebook page and would just like to come along and say hello you are also welcome.

Just get in touch and let me know.

or PM me on the AHQ Facebook page.

Hope to see you there.

And now for this week’s show and tell.

1245 quilts and 1702 laundry bags for 2015.

4827 quilts and  7159 laundry bags in total.

The first quilt is a bit special. Su attended the Australasian Quilt Convention and took home some of the signed blocks to make into a quilt. She finished this one this week and I have just the PERFECT recipient for it.  Can’t say too much though, but this is on its way!!!
Great job Su and great job to all of those who signed patches for us.

And this quilt, made by Gail and quilted by Tess, is headed off to the ANZAC Hospital in Iraq.  It is the fourth and final Kiwi themed quilt for the Jacinda Baker Ward. So that is four Aussie themed quilts and four Kiwi themed quilts and one of our signature quilts to brighten their world.  Well done ladies.
