WOW!!! Today I had the great privilege of presenting the quilts and laundry bags to our Australian Invictus Games Team and their support team…….and what a privilege it is. Those who have made these personalised bags have absolutely outdone themselves.
There are so many photos in this post. Please understand that it was just too big a job to marry up the name of the quilter/laundry bag maker with each photo so I hope you understand.
I will be posting as many photos of the recipients with their quilts and bags as soon as I can over the weekend. Please bear with me… I have a dinner for 26 in my home tonight so not much time to get on the laptop til the weekend.
Now grab a cuppa and sit back and have a look at these great Quilts and Laundry Bags.
All the laundry bags for the Aussie Team have two sides… a Team Side, see below.. and a personal side, featuring the initials, service crest and more. For the sake of brevity I am only posting one picture of the team side and then just the personal sides of each bag.
And now for the quilts for those that support the team, the admin people, physios, doctors, coaches, public affairs teams… and so many more…. We did not have the resources to personalise these as much but we still wanted to say thank you for their efforts, many of them also being veterans as well.
What an amazing array of quilts and laundry bags!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to everyone who put the time and effort in to complete all these quilts and laundry bags and a special mention to all those who worked SO HARD to add all the patches to the “random” quilts we gave to the management team. As always you are the unsung heroes who help us to do that much more than you might think we can.
Till next time…….. GAME ON DOWN UNDER!!!!!
