Hello!
It’s Monday and here’s this week’s Request List. There’s a lot of quilt requests on the list – if you’ve not sewn an Aussie Hero Quilt before but would like to give one a try here’s the link to the Instructions on the AHQ blog. We are also sewing up a storm of laundry bags to acknowledge the amazing effort by our valued troops deployed domestically on Covid 19 duty.
Thanks goes to those of you who’ve sent through messages of “good luck” and “well done” to the new admin team supporting Jan-Maree. We all appreciate your friendly contact. It is our pleasure to support you. We continue to improve our game, coming up to speed to support you, the extraordinary AHQ volunteers, to facilitate the amazing contribution you are making. Request List, Gratitude Posts, Weekly Dispatches etc will all continue and likewise, we will continue to value your support of AHQ and those whom AHQ supports.
Any queries you might have, please don’t hesitate to contact via the AHQ email as per usual with any queries and we will assist you from there. We may not know the answer but it will be our pleasure to research and get back to you. You may find your query is answered by me or perhaps Alex, Catherine, Courtney or Lisa. We will be ‘on duty’ in rotation.
Don’t forget, if you look at today’s Request List and need help choosing, please feel free to get in touch to discuss, we will be ready to reply and offer guidance by email. Our goal is to help you find a request that you will be comfortable with doing. As always there’s an amazing breadth of requests; there’s no doubt about it, our deployed can be incredibly imaginative with their preferences. If you need a crest etc we may be able to post embroideries / printed fabric images or email some of these to you. Helpful info may be gleaned here . I look forward to seeing the photos of completed quilts and LBs when they are ready to post off.

Priority Quilts
Requests 8- 18 are our priority quilts this week and need to be in the mail by 11 August or earlier, thank you. Can you help with these?
The post by date for all items on this list is 24 August please. If you cannot make that date, please let me know.
PLEASE note the date and let me know if you have any problems getting your quilt/LB away on time. In fact, if you are going to be late posting it please let me know BEFORE you post it. Also, if this time frame is too tight for you, there are options, just email me to discuss.

The first column is the theme or preferences requested.

The most economic way is using a pre-paid satchel. You can fit 5-6 in a large satchel or 12 in a XL satchel. And we need MASCULINE or GENDER NEUTRAL
