I have been madly binding today and yesterday. More finished quilts in the next few days but some of the ones I have sewn the binding on are waiting for some hand sewing. Your lovely star quilt Sue B is one of those waiting for handstitching. It looks great! Tarnyia and Sue P your binding have been absolutely perfect for some of the quilts I have been finishing off! You have saved me so much time!
I still have another bunch of quilts to bind but I am getting there. I am also getting ready to write the tutorial for the next BOM. Experienced sewers out there please bear in mind that there tutorials are aimed at beginner quilters so that they can contribute. If you want more of a challenge please feel free to do the same as Claire and make a batch of blocks and then turn them into a quilt top.
The fabulous Caz is coming over again on Friday to have an Aussie Heroes sewing day. The invitation remains open if there are any other Sydney girls that would like to come and join us. At this stage I haven’t decided if we are going to do laundry bags or nine patch quilts. If you are interested in coming just leave a comment or email me.

I stumbled across your blog in January and have been following you with great interest for a few weeks now. I think you are doing a marvellous jo and I commend you for achieving so much so far. I am keen to become involved but I'm afraid I quilt far more in my mind than in actuality (!) but perhaps one day when my youngsters are grown up that might reverse! Anyway, I will be going on a weekend retreat in March with my lovely crafting friends and I aim to take enough fabric with me to make a quilt top to send to you. I'l also print out some info from your site to share your wonderful project with the girls. Hopefully they'll be inspired too. They're currently working on a fundraiser quilt for the Royal Flying Doctor Service to auction off. So when when that project is finished, I'm hoping that there just might be enough interest in Aussie Heroes to adopt that as our next group project… fingers crossed. Anyway, please be encouraged that you are very much admired and are providing much inspiration along the way. I'm sure you are blessing many more than you know. Alison xo
