Below is a group photo from the final Op Southern Discovery presentation for the 2024-5 season made by Anne Hnr.
All three are RAN hydrographers and are sailing south on the icebreaker. The quilts and laundry bags belong to the gentlemen in the photo. The lady received her set back in October 24 as this is her second voyage
The quilt tops were made by Bobbie and the Mystery BOMers, with crests by Inge C and Keryn and were quilted by Philomena H.
The laundry bag being held was made by Bridget R and the other by Heather B.

Good morning Philomena H!
A week ago I made it back to Adelaide where I was able to collect the Quilts and say goodbye to my old unit. Since then I have given the two quilts to my dad and grandfather (nicknamed Pooh). They love the quilts, feel free to use this photo if you like for the quilting cause! 🙂
I haven’t got a photo with my quilt yet as I have been flat out, but I will be hanging it in my room, it is really beautiful, the stitched on detail and the effort you went to is really special! I would love to visit both Ireland and Sweden in future, but not for a while.
I will send another email with me and my quilt soon. Best wishes!
(The recipient sent an initial thank you which was published in the
15 April Grati-Tuesday blog).

Dear Jacqui D,
I hope this finds you well. I have recently returned home from overseas deployment. I want to sincerely thank you for the beautiful patchwork quilt you made and sent. Your kindness, time, and effort truly mean a lot, especially while I’m deployed. The quilt is not only warm and comforting, but it’s also a heartfelt reminder that people back home are thinking of us. Your support lifts our spirits more than words can express.

Good morning Bel P
I have received my Dohbie bag, I thank you for your time and effort put into making it as well as my Disney quilt, they are awesome.
I know this new bag will get used just as much as the quilt, which is all the time at sea.
Much appreciation and many thanks,
